Julie Joyce, LIMHP, LADC, LPC

Julie is a northeast Nebraska native with a compassionate heart for anyone with life challenges. With a

focus on both addictions and mental health, she is trained and experienced in instilling hope and

facilitating change. Encouragement and support is the foundation of seeing changes in the client and

their relationships with employers, family and friends. Julie is experienced in individual, group, 

relationship counseling and education of addiction.


Having grown up on a farm and small town, and later living in larger areas, she has developed her

natural knack for communicating with anyone. Living in other areas has also helped to develop cultural

awareness and empathy. During session you can expect a safe space that is collaborative, gentle and

direct in order to help you find a solution to current or long-standing challenges through a trauma

sensitive approach. Helping others find their purpose and instilling hope is the cornerstone of what she

believes.


As an experienced counselor,  Julie utilizes an eclectic approach to therapy, helping patients implement a variety of interventions through use of  various techniques.  This allows her to help patients who experience a variety of life’s challenges. She has aided people with difficulties pertaining to addiction; (including completing Substance use evaluations), anxiety, depression, bi-polar disorder, grief, career difficulties, codependency, attachment issues, communication problems, trauma, and relationship issues.

Krista Holeman, LIMHP, LADC, LPC

Meet Krista, a compassionate therapist holding licenses as a Mental Health Counselor and Alcohol and Drug Counselor. With a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Criminal Justice from Peru State College in 2010, and a Master's degree in Counseling from Doane University in 2015, Krista brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the practice.

Throughout her career, Krista has worked with diverse populations, including children, adolescents, adults, elderly adults, couples, and families, in various settings such as integrated health care, schools, nursing homes, outpatient facilities, and more.


Specializing in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), autism, addictions, trauma, grief, and suicide intervention, Krista is trained in Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) for trauma and anxiety disorders and Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP).

With a focus on facilitating group sessions for seniors, adolescents, grief support, caregiving, and trauma recovery, Krista is well-versed in a range of therapeutic techniques including Aggression-Replacement Therapy, Thinking for a Change, and programs like Prime for Life and A Time to Heal for cancer survivors and their caregivers.

Amy Wells, PLMHP, PLADC

Amy is a dedicated and compassionate emerging counselor committed to supporting individuals and families through their mental health and substance use recovery journeys. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Social Work with a minor in Behavioral and Mental Health from the University of Nebraska at Kearney in 2022 and recently completed her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the same institution in 2025. Amy currently holds both a Provisional Mental Health Practitioner (PLMHP) license and a Provisional Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (PLADC) credential.


With experience working with diverse populations, Amy utilizes evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and substance use treatment strategies. She has led both individual and group sessions and received specialized training in Motivational Interviewing to promote client motivation and change.


Amy is passionate about trauma-informed care, particularly when working with children and families. She volunteers with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP), serving as the Holt/Boyd County Out of the Darkness Walk Chair for 2024 and 2025. She is also a trained facilitator for AFSP’s “More Than Sad” and “Talk Saves Lives” programs, helping educate and support communities in suicide prevention.


With a holistic, strengths-based approach, Amy strives to foster resilience, healing, and empowerment in each client she serves.

Dena Pirnie, PLMHC

Dena is a Provisionally Licensed Mental Health Counselor who is passionate about helping individuals find balance, healing, and fulfillment in their lives. She provides a safe, supportive space where clients can explore their experiences, gain insight, and develop tools to navigate life’s challenges with greater confidence and clarity.


Dena earned both her Bachelor of Science in Behavioral Sciences (2022) and her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (2025) from Bellevue University. Through her studies and clinical training, she developed a strong foundation in evidence-based therapeutic practices, including Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), Solution-focused, and Person-centered approaches. 


She works with adults and adolescents navigating a variety of concerns, including anxiety, depression, life transitions, stress, and self-esteem. Dena’s approach is warm, compassionate, and collaborative meeting clients where they are and tailoring therapy to fit their unique needs and goals.Dena believes that therapy is a partnership, and that genuine connection and understanding are at the heart of personal growth. She strives to create an environment where clients feel truly heard, respected, and empowered to move forward at their own pace.


Outside the therapy room, Dena enjoys spending time outdoors, and connecting with friends and family. She is dedicated to promoting mental wellness and supporting others in living authentically and with purpose.

Tammy Bazelman, PLADC

Tammy is a Provisionally Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor who grew up in North Central Nebraska. She has a Bachelors Degree in Human Services from Bellevue University and earned her Alcohol and Drug Counseling Certification from Northeast Community College.


Since a young age, Tammy knew she wanted to help others.  Her passion is in helping people improve their lives and overall well-being by finding life in recovery.  Tammy believes that recovery is personal and what works for one person may not work for the next.  She wants to help her clients discover what will motivate them to maintain a life without active addiction.


She has been employed as a Behavioral Health Technician and Recovery Coach in both rural and metro communities.  Tammy sees herself as a professional who believes a good sense of humor and a laugh can improve anyone’s day.


Tammy practices trauma-informed care while using cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, dialectal behavior therapy, stress management and crisis intervention.  She will provide family, individual and group counseling for addiction issues.  Weekly addiction therapy group and a separate group therapy for family and friends will be led by Tammy.  She will be completing substance use evaluations as well.


Tammy is excited to be providing services in-person in O’Neill and Norfolk along with telehealth sessions. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, making crafts, and spending time with friends and family; especially cherishing time with her 5 nephews and nieces, along with her rescue dog, Vada.
